- communication during negotiations and mediation.

II. Conflicts as a cause of negotiation and mediation:

- definition of the conflict,

- causes of interpersonal conflicts,

- types of conflicts,

- psychological mechanism of conflict escalation

- styles of coping with conflict situations,

- effective conflict resolution,

- selected models of interpersonal conflicts

- positive and negative consequences of conflicts,

- conflict diagnosis in negotiations and mediations,

- practical exercises of coping conflicts.

III. Influencing people’s behavior:

- influencing or manipulating? – the essence of the phenomenon,

- basic principles of exerting influence,

- ingratiating activities,

- persuasion as a tool of influencing others,

- situations in which mediation should and should not be conducted (contraindications to mediation),

- who can be the mediator?

- the course and phases of mediation,

- court mediation,

- family mediation - advantages and disadvantages of family mediation,

- practicing mediation skills.

VI. Stress and coping with stress during negotiations and mediation:

- definition of the concept of "stress". Eustress and distress,

- stressors,

- strategies for coping with stress,

- causes and sources of stress,

- consequences of stress,

- negotiations and mediations as stressful situations,

- how to deal with stress during negotiations and mediation?

- basics of relaxation training.
