(tylko po angielsku) The main aim of the module is to give students knowledge on basic principles of criminal responsibility of individuals for international crimes. They should have orientation in the nowadays events especially in the cases before international criminal tribunals and should verify the given information. He/She should be able to work on legal documents on international criminal law. |

International military tribunals after the Second World War 4. The international criminal law 5. Serious crimes of international law – definitions and sources of regulation - genocide - crimes against humanity - war crimes - crime of agression 6. The prosecution of crimes by national courts 7. The prosecution of crimes by ad hoc tribunals 8. The prosecution of crimes by internationalized tribunals 9. The prosecution of crimes by the International Criminal Court 10. Cases |

(tylko po angielsku) The Student: - Knows the history, sources and basic principles of individual criminal responsibility for crimes under international law - Understands the notions of war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide and a crime of aggression; knows the competences of international criminal tribunals - Freely uses international documents to clasify acts to certain categories of international crimes and is able to to find individual solutions connected with prohibited acts committed by perpetrators - Speaks fluent English with the use of specialized terminology |
Metody i kryteria oceniania: |
(tylko po angielsku) In order to obtain a final mark students should prepare a presentation on one of the international tribunals or a written report and prepare one of the cases international criminal tribunals work. |
