(tylko po angielsku) The module is designed to expand theoretical knowledge in the field of basic research problems and methods, review the world literature on current issues in the field of GIS or remote sensing, gather information on research methods and data sources; independent development of a selected seminar issue and preparation of presentations, developing the ability to present and discuss scientific problems. The general purpose of MSc seminars is the preparation of students for their own studies of scientific literature dedicated to selected subjects of a master thesis under the supervision of tutors. Presentation of summaries of the most important publications related to the MSc subject and relevant research methods together with a critical discussion of results from reported papers are obligatory during seminars. Basing upon literature, background from other courses and advice from tutors, students have to prepare a concept of the thesis with its structure and outline of content. The goal of the module MSc seminar I is focused on choosing the theme of a master thesis including discussion of basic literature data and methodological issues. |
